Jobrods started, as a lot of things do, with frustration. We had all been through job searches that felt less like finding the right role and more like fighting the tools meant to help. Endless tabs, duplicate listings, recommendations with no explanation, and hours spent filtering by hand. In March 2025, we decided to build the search we wished existed.
The problem is specific
The job market does not lack listings — it lacks relevance and transparency. The big boards optimise for volume and engagement, not for helping you find the one role that fits and understanding why it fits. That gap is narrow but deep, and it is fixable.
Our bet
We made two decisions on day one that still define the product. First, aggregate the major UK boards — Reed, Indeed, and Adzuna — into one de-duplicated feed so coverage is never the bottleneck. Second, score and explain every match so you are never asked to trust a number you cannot interrogate.
What we are building toward
The long-term goal is simple to state and hard to earn: be the most trusted starting point for a job search in the UK. Trust comes from relevance you can feel and reasoning you can see, delivered fast. Everything we have shipped since — the scoring model, explainable breakdowns, a privacy-first approach to your data — ladders up to that.
We are early, and there is a great deal still to build. But the direction has been clear since the first week: respect your time, show your work, and put the right role in front of you. Thanks for being here at the start.
